Bay Area Steppers Academy Mission(BASA) BASA offers Chicago Steppin classes and workshops. Steppin' is a smooth, elegant, African-American form of ballroom dancing with graceful spins, turns and walks. Stepping classes and events provide a mature atmosphere for adults to exercise, network and relax. Our goal is to help the beginner and the advance dancer stay current with the variations of turns and footwork that are being created contstantly with Chicago Steppin. No more excuses for not learning this smooth style of dancing. If you can't come to Oakland/San Francisco, then let The Bay Area Steppers Academy come to you Stepper Workshops are fun-filled, events for adults to network, interact and exercise together. Many after school programs are setting up Steppin - Soul Line Dance & Salsa Workshops to help children learn ettiquete, class and a form of urban dance that is not sexually overt. Workshops are also available for Church, fraternity and sorority functions, cruise, concerts, weddings, clubs, corporations' health and fitness programs, etc.
